America

What it is America Tell Me...

[Under Construction]

(A true poem of what it is and what it could be)

America,

You were once a virgin.

Young and wild

Full of Life and Fury

You did inspire men.

And to greater deeds

Of blissful glory.

Silent for centuries you did lay.

 Outstretched, between two great oceans.

 Till one day:

To brace men you did reveal

 Your limbs. Your wild limbs,

Yearning to be tamed.

You truly promised,

That a man – regardless of blood or class –

Would be judge only by his deeds.

Your fiercely promised that the law of justice

Would reign supreme upon this land.

And so the hearty blood of many nations,

Into your wild and fertile expand did pour.

To the brave, the strong of action and

Stronger spirit

Your best, you’re very best to them you did bestow.

The cowardly, you did quickly frighten.

 Frightened by your honesty.

This sheer courageousness of your

Spirit and soul.

 You did build, quickly build,

The first America,

America the beautiful –

USA Yesterday.

Bigger cities, longer bridges

Taller dams,

Than ever before the world

 Had known.

You, America, showed the world how

To build with style,

And when it came time

To fight

You’re brave, strong offspring of

Yesterday;

Did to mighty potent

Battle raises –

To turn the tide in WW II.

When gog, himself, had but nearly

Almost all the world inslaved –

When the specter, death itself,

Arose unchallenged the 59 million slaughtered,

Sacrificed to the Goddess Greed.

America you turned the tide of war, of history –

You’re strong spirited offspring

Joined forces and did the

Mighty Battle Win.

And gave some breathing space

To mankind once again

And after the battle when all was

Ruin bleak, and cold.

You did America, with heart and

Soul respond.

And with spirit, power and muscle,

America,

The whole world anew, you did

Nearly Marshall plan –

Rebuild!

Fierce in battle,

Magnanimous of heart,

Strong of spirit,

You’re new breed of men,

The world, they did amaze.

And world renown as never before

Was given the first America.

But alas, now, oh beautiful America

What are we becoming?

Where are yesterday’s brave souls?

Everyone seeks the easy way out.

The most pay for the least work,

No one is willing to fight the

Good fight.

For profit and interest,

What would not be sold?

We cower before the great tasks,

We let other people fight our fight,

We enslave populations so that we

May have our coffee, our bananas,

Our sugar, our $1,000 a plate dinners,

Our meat, our grass, our coke, our Korea’s,

Our Vietnams. Our Iraq’s, Our defense spending,

Our profit and interest.

The undernourished and poor

Economically enslaved to the overfed and rich.

One dying form malnutrition,

The other from overconsumption.

Rather than face the real issues,

We quiver, change the subject and ps.

Rather than scraping antiquated

Notions of offense through defense

Or balance of terror.

We choose, we choose to send the

best of the off springs Who fought

 in WW II.

We choose to send them to

Meaningless Vietnam & Iraqi battles--

We sent them to slaughter

 and be slaughter  as patrolling

ducks.

We sent them to maim and to kill,

to be maimed, to be havoked.

We sent them to the bowls of hell,

 And for what?

To keep the commies, the Muslims away?

The domino theory?

Our fears of lost markets, oil?

So that somebody will make a buck?

Puke.

Our big jet planes we did send

With bombs.

More bombs than ever before

The world had ever known, more than in W.W.I, W.W.II, Korea combined?

More bombs on bare—ass chinamen with a rifle,

With full congressional approval we did drop –

Like time lapsed Hiroshima’s

 We thought it would do

The trick rather quick.

But the Chinamen’s goose wouldn’t

Cook.

Mind and spirit

The Chinamen proved,

Could not be dominated,

Controlled, nor intimidated

By muscle and power.

Yet, Ameirieka you persist.

Spewing.

“More contra Aid”

“Shouting ‘back with Somosa’”

“Hooray for Trujillo”

“Welcome Oh Shah”

“Embrace me, Oh Shah”

“Shut up you oppressed Palestinians,

Glory in your miser. Let others

Squander what you have worked

Centuries to build, to swim

In you’re drinking and planting

Water.”

“Rejoice in the sickness

And hopelessness you see in the eyes of your children.”

“Rejoice in the sickness

And hopeless you see in the

Eyes of your children.”

“Day by day,

Do nothing about this or else –“

America, Amerieka, oh what have we

 Become?

But  “staying the curse” killing bombs

(Paid by church-going taxpayers)

In the night

Against half naked

Poorly fed children.

Oh Ameirika, will you really spend?

300,000 billion dollars, in the

Next 30 years, like you did in

The 30 for purposes of killing?

America, not too long ago

The darling of the world,

What have you become?

But the lifeless harlot full of

Empty promise,

The earth’s worst cancer?

The cause, the reason,

The main moving motive of terror.

The fire that pours from

The sky.

The stench of death,

The blood drenched finger

The stamps down the oppressed.

The finger that feeds itself,

Soaking its bread in the blood

On the oppressed backs, feeding itself

With bright, dripping morsels

Of fresh blood-soaked Profitable bread?

Amerieka, oh gutless, Godless.

Amerieka, you sell out

The future,

With your defense

Spending hoax, with

 You’re present policies:

180 degrees you must turn.

Offense by illuminating

 The need of defense.

Offense through super abundance

And trade –

America, oh America,

Dead you are not –

Your blood still runs true red in

Your offspring, your heart still

Doth beat to the rhythm of

Justice,

In your soul the fire of freedom

Doth burn.

And when one fails, the good fight

Thousands – tax revolt rise in its place.

You have done it before,

You can do it again –

Restrain the earth

From the abyss of Hell,

America!

Deliver self-regulating

Solar power, greenhouse instead of

Death spewing bombers, deliver solar

Power processing plants, instead of

 Nuclear submarines, invent mass producible

Self-sustaining, co-op solar cities

Instead of star wars. Deliver Aztlan.

Retool you defense industry into city-

Building technology, weed out you

Reactionary – ultra conservation from

Your politics,

Jail the leaders of your

Two coup the tae’s

Like Mussolini was, hang their dead bodies

In public, so that people can spit in the face

Of those that have so defiled and raped this

Country and thus begin – the healing process

Of our communal soul.

America does not let Sata use your tax revolt

Money for war materials.

Decide with your heart, not your pocket

Book. Give your children a fighting

Chance.

Show some gut,

“Lest the specter go unchallenged

Before us in the light of day.”

And, Ameireika, the harlot, does not America!

The Jane that she was, soon again become.

And too little too late come our collective epitaph.

We as a race have been in an ever

Increasing self-destruct cycle for

Forty-five years and more, no just

The nuclear problem, but everyday

We pour 100,000 tons of pollutants

Into the air, the breath, the life that

Sustains us. Everyday we vehemently

Assault and insult the feeling, living,

Sustaining nature which envelops us,

Gives us light and warmth and reason.

Everyday of every week of every month

We spit into the face of God, and as time

Goes by, we continue to desecrate in

Ever greater quantities! How much

Longer before such insults are wrathfully

Hurled back at us? Will gutless Amerika

Leave our children to pay the piper as they

Face agonizing extinction for our mistakes?

Or do we commit our heart of hearts, our

Sacred honor, and every dollar of our tax

Money to the new America! Individually

And collectively, if we are not for life,

For more life, we are for death.

Air and water cleansing, non pollution,

Self-sustaining, co-op, Solar Cities worldwide

Is the order of the day?

 America!

 We wait,

The splendor of your creations.
